The operating system is a collection of a set of programs, which manages all the resources of the computer system means an operating system is the most important software that runs on a computer.  An operating system manages the computer's hardware, software, memory, and processor. There are many different operating systems and two of the most common operating systems are Windows and macOS. The mobile device is run by a mobile operating system like apple iOS and android. You can do a lot of things in an operating system like watch movies, browse the web, and manage your calendar. Operating systems usually come pre-loaded on the computer and other devices. The three most common operating systems for personal computers are Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Examples of the operating system: - Windows Operating System, macOS, Linux, and Mobile Devices Operating System.

 

 

 

There are four types of operating systems

  • WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM
  • MACOS
  • LINUX
  • MOBILE DEVICES OPERATING SYSTEM

WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM: - 

The operating system provides a way to store files, run software, play gameswatch videos, and connect to the Internet. The operating system is usually used on desktops and laptops. Microsoft Windows operating system developed by Microsoft. Some examples of Microsoft Windows like windows 11, windows 10, windows 8, windows 7, windows vista, and windows XP.

MACOS: -

macOS operating system that runs on Apple desktop and laptop computers developed by Apple. macOS operating systems come preloaded on all Macs. The iPod, iPhone, and iPad use a different operating system known as iOS.

LINUX: -

The Linux OS was developed by Linus Torvalds in 1991. Linux is an open-source operating system like other operating systems such as macOS, iOS, windows, and android. Linux is software that enables communication between computer hardware and software.

MOBILE DEVICES OPERATING SYSTEM: -

The mobile operating system is designed to run on mobile devices such as phones and tablets. the mobile operating system allows you to watch movies, browse the web and listen to music, etc. Examples of mobile operating systems are Apple iOS and Google Android operating systems.
