Understanding Applications

An application is a type of software that allows you to perform various types of the specific task. The application is sometimes called a program or app. Applications for desktop or laptop computers are sometimes called desktop computers if you want to download windows applications so you can download them by Microsoft sore. Every computer and mobile device comes with some applications such as web browsers and media players. Mobile applications are millions of apps are available on both the app store and play store. The application helps you to do professional tasks such as video editing and photo editing and so many various types of tasks you can do by application.




There are two types of applications desktop applications and mobile application

Desktop applications

Web browser:-

The web browser application that is used to access the internet. Most computers and laptops come with a pre-installed web browser, but if you want to download a different web browser so you can easily download it. Examples of web browsers are internet explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google chrome and safari.

Media players: -

Media players are used to listening to mp3 songs or watching movies. Example of various types of media players is windows media player and iTunes are popular media player.

Microsoft Office:-

Microsoft Office is a software developed by Microsoft that is used to make professional-quality documents, letters, reports etc.


Mobile phone application 


Gmail is used to send information, send e-mails and receive emails. Gmail and google mail is a free email service developed by Google LLC.

YouTube: -

YouTube is used to watch informative online videos and you can also share videos with your friends and even you can create and upload your video on YouTube.


WhatsApp is a free messaging app that is used to send text messages, video calls and voice calls and share status. WhatsApp runs by mobile data or Wi-Fi connection.
