The network card is a hardware component of a computer. The main purpose of a network card is it provides you with access to the internet. A network card is a part of a computer that connects to a local area network (LAN) and Ethernet cable. It is the external part of the computer. The network card comes in two types wired and wireless.

1. WIRED

2. WIRELESS

 

WIRED: -

The wired network connects with a cable on the computer and laptops. An Ethernet adapter is a card that plugs into a slot on the motherboard and enables a computer to access the internet by Ethernet cable.

 

WIRELESS: -

 

A Wireless network Adapter device that adds wireless connectivity to a laptop or desktop computer. It is an external device of the computer. Most of the time Wireless network adapters are used on desktop computers, and Wireless network adapters provide connectivity to the local area network.
