Windows 1.0 operating system was released on November 6, 1985, and developed by Microsoft. Windows 1.0 was the first version of the Microsoft GUI-Based operating system. Windows 1.0 is a 16-bit operating environment designed to run on top of MS-DOS.

Windows 2.0 operating system was released on December 9, 1987, and developed by Microsoft. Windows 2.0 is a 16-bit operating environment. Windows 2.0 was more popular than windows 1.0 but was not widely used. In addition, it did not solve the one-megabyte memory problem in DOS, and PCs, of that era, were too slow to run a graphical with reasonable performance.

Windows 95 is a consumer-oriented graphical user interface-based operating system built on top of MS-DOS. Windows 95 supports the 32-bit application. Windows 95 operating system is part of its windows 9X family of operating systems. Windows 95 was released on 24 august 1995 and developed by Microsoft.

You can see internet explorer 4.0 in windows 98 and can now set *BMP, *jpg,*PCX and *gif files as your wallpaper background. improved support for new devices and technologies such as ACPI, AGP, DVD, USB and MMX. Microsoft ended support of the windows 98 operating system in mid-2006.
