NEET stand for the National Eligibility Entrance Test, NEET is one of the important entrance exam for the medical course like MBBS, BDS. NEET exam is for both government private college. NTA the government agency conducts NEET exam. This exam has MCQ type based exam.  Every year NEET exam is conducted and it is one of the offline exam. NEET is single level national exam for all of the medical aspirants, who wants to take admission in the medical colleges in private and government both colleges. NEET is part of the One Nation One Examination Policy.

History of NEET

In 2012 NEET was first time introduced by the Indian government, due to various reason this exam was postpone in 2012 by CBSE and MCI. In 5th of May 2013 NEET exam was held in India first time. Those aspirants give this exam who want to seek admission in UG and PG course in medical collage. It is one of the first medical exam where approximately 10 lakh student registered. On 18th of July 2013, there were 115 petitions is given by the many sates like Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal strongly denied the exam, So in the support of thee petioneries Supreme court cancel the NEET exam, these states strongly denied NEET exam due to lot o difference in the syllabus. Supreme court of India clearly declared NEET exam unconstitutional, But in April 2016 NEET exam was re-launched.

Eligibility Criteria to Opt for This Exam

  • The main eligibility criteria for this exam is candidate must be Indian Citizen. If the candidate is a non-resident of India, he/she should be a PIOS or Person of Indian Origin, NRI or NRI or Overseas Citizen of India or OCI.
  • The minimum age limit for the NEET exam is 17 years.
  • Maximum age limit for the NEET candidate is 25 years, it for the general category. However maximum age limit for reserved candidate is 30 year.

If you are appearing for the NEET exam, so you have to clear class 12 exam from the recognized board. Candidate must be qualify from the science stream with the main subject Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Biotechnology, or Mathematics. The general Candidate must be scored minimum 50% marks in their 12th exam. For physically disable candidate the minimum marks is 45%. For OBC, ST, or SC candidate 40% is required and physically handicapped OBC, SC, or ST category candidates must have 40% of the marks. NEET exam replace previous exam including AIPMT and all state level medical entrance exam. NEET was firstly introduced by the MCI which is known as Medical Council Of India.

There are total 19 subjects and many books for NEET. You should choose this field only if you are very interested in this field. This is especially because you may feel a burden afterward.

Chemistry and Physics are one of the  important subjects because you will not be able to crack the exam with the help of biology alone. Even a combination of good knowledge in chemistry and biology is not enough. You must be very well prepared in all the three subjects, i.e. Biology, Chemistry and Physics, to crack the NEET exam.
